On each delivered load, the agent who arranged the load, the capacity provider engaged by the agent to transport the load and Landstar each receive a portion of the revenue. Payments to the agent are based on the percentage commission rates set forth in the agency agreement between the agent and Landstar. Landstar’s portion of the revenue covers costs associated with many support functions and services that are value-additive to the agent.

For example, Landstar’s pricing and customer contracts departments assist in bids and RFPs, plus, we provide customer invoicing and accounts receivable services.
