Each month, deserving independent business capacity owners (BCOs) and independent agents earn Star of Quality awards, recognizing their extra efforts and individual dedication to service. The outstanding efforts made by these professional men and women during March and April 2020, earned them a Landstar Star of Quality Award.

Here’s a look at just a few tech advances designed to make life over-the-road a better experience for the professional truck owner-operator.

When Mark Fullbright recounts the events that earned him a Platinum Star of Quality Award from Landstar in December, he says he thinks about the many circumstances involved that put him in the right place at the right time to save a woman’s life.

The Landstar orientation center currently located in Jefferson, Georgia, will close Aug. 31. The new center in Carnesville is expected to open in September 2020.

Landstar has pledged its support of TAT and the organization’s goals of educating Owner-Operators about human trafficking since 2014.

As John Sharlow explains it, he left his wallet at the Landstar U.S./Mexico Logistics Center in Laredo, Texas – but the BCO didn’t realize it was gone until hundreds of miles later, when he and his wife and team driver Tammy arrived in Houston for a delivery.
