Landstar BCO Joshua McCord says he got plenty of interesting looks from other drivers as he moved a 14,360-pound Lodge® cast-iron skillet on his platform trailer between Alabama and Lodge headquarters in South Pittsburg, Tennessee.

The 3,500-pound stainless steel structure named Emergence first had to hitch a ride across North America. At 18-feet in diameter, with 50 engineered thermoformed acrylic rods that glow with colored light, the piece could not travel on just any trailer or with just any carrier.

However, his customer Air Zoo thought the arrival of its new F-117 nicknamed Shaba really was something to boast about.

“We had one month to arrange the transport of the Nighthawk from the Lockheed Martin Skunk Works® division to two locations,” explains Mike Thompson, agency owner of D&M Transportation Inc.
