Landstar System, Inc. is recognized as a 2023 “Top Company for Women to Work For in Transportation” by Redefining the Road, the official magazine of Women In Trucking (WIT).

Redefining the Road magazine announced in early November that 113 companies in total are on the 2023 list.

To be named, companies must feature several distinguishing key features, including:

• Corporate cultures that foster gender diversity
• Competitive compensation and benefits
• Flexible hours and work requirements
• Professional development opportunities
• Career advancement opportunities

According to the publication, companies were nominated for recognition based on the criteria and accepted by the publication before votes were cast by more than 27,000 industry professionals during the months of June and July 2023.

“Many companies in the transportation industry take serious steps to recruit and retain a diverse workforce,” said Brian Everett, Redefining the Road group publisher and editorial director. “Redefining the Road, the official magazine of the Women In Trucking Association, is pleased to name Landstar as a 2023 Top Company for Women to Work For in Transportation. Landstar has demonstrated that it places a significant importance on gender diversity as part of its business strategy and is to be commended for the work in diversity that it is doing.”
