Collins and Edwards Receive Lifetime Achievement Award and Sentgerath Receives Outstanding Management Award

Landstar System, Inc., a worldwide, asset-light provider of integrated transportation management solutions delivering safe, specialized transportation services, awarded two long-time employees with the Jeffrey C. Crowe-Robert E. Zonneville Lifetime Achievement Award and one employee with the Landstar Outstanding Management Achievement Award at the 2018 Landstar Annual Agent Convention.

Landstar Transportation Logistics Executive Vice President of Specialized Freight Services John Collins and Landstar Transportation Logistics Vice President of Capacity Qualifications Sandi Edwards were both awarded with the Jeffrey C. Crowe-Robert E. Zonneville Lifetime Achievement Award. This was the first time two employees received the award in the same year.

Throughout his 33 years with Landstar, Collins has worked in operations, business development and heavy/specialized services, serving as executive vice president of specialized freight services for the past five years. As a Landstar representative, Collins joined the National Defense Transportation Association in 2009 and has since played an important role in guiding the efforts of surface transportation providers in their support of the United States military.

During her 41-year career with Landstar companies, Edwards has worked in rates, billing, credit and collections, operations brokerage and capacity qualifications. She was promoted to her current role as vice president of capacity qualifications in 2006. Edwards is a strong supporter of women in the transportation industry and is active in the national Women In Trucking initiative.

Landstar Vice President of Systems Integration Robert Sentgerath was honored with this year’s Landstar Outstanding Management Achievement Award. Sentgerath joined Landstar 20 years ago and, in 2016, began working on the initiative to provide the infrastructure, technology and staffing to modernize all of Landstar’s technology and processes. He is an instrumental part of the team designing and implementing Landstar’s new transportation management system (TMS) for its independent agents.
