Landstar’s Overall M.U.S.T. Customer of the Year KMT Waterjet, a Shape Technologies Group® company in Baxter Springs, Kansas, provides its customers with the ultimate experience in ultrahigh-pressure water-cutting technology.

This year Landstar is celebrating 143 business capacity owners (BCOs) for their safety records and professionalism behind the wheel.

“It is Louis’ experience, professionalism and determination that earned him the Rookie of the Year recognition,” said Landstar President and CEO Jim Gattoni.

Don Ellis of Shipment Transport, Inc. based in Cumberland Gap, Tennessee, was selected for his outstanding support of the Landstar safety culture.

Landstar announced Shape Technologies as the overall winner. Also recognized was independent Landstar Agent Mike Nelson of Nelson Logistics Management LLC, the Landstar agency that provides the customer with transportation logistics services.

A quick online search will call up the winner of the Landstar 2018 M.U.S.T. Customer Award – Google LLC. In 2018, 61 Landstar customers opened their doors to members of the Landstar safety team to discuss safety practices and improvements. The Mutual Understanding of Safety Together, or M.U.S.T., onsite customer visits offer shippers a unique and valuable experience.

Landstar has always fully supported Michael Lemasters commitment to the military. This support was evident when he received mobilization orders to report to Fort Benning in Georgia.

Four Landstar independent business capacity owners (BCOs) and a Landstar employee were recognized during the National Safety Council Congress & Expo.

The annual event recognizes outstanding safety records and professionalism behind the wheel. The Class of 2018 is one of the largest classes of Million Mile Safe Drivers inducted in Landstar history.
